Were they the ones that posted it? Sounds like it was being recorded for a TV show that had the camera on board. It may not have been their decision to release it.

Regardless, its funny and I've laughed at significantly sadder stuff than a group of people hurting themselves from messing up on their six figure toy.

One of the passengers does a show called Lake TV, which is just a local water show. He was just on there for a ride back, and threw the camera up.
