What's the total cost on average with the license, etc. to get a supressor? I've been thinking of getting one for my rifle. It's a .22 so the suppressor should be on the lower price end. Also, how often do you have to pay the government their blood money? Thanks!

My Thompson Machine ISIS-22 was only $275

Tax stamp was $200

So my TOTAL cost was only $475. No "License" at all. Not even sure what that's about.

I did mine thru a "trust" document. Which is basically a piece of paper that has unlimited "trustee's" who all can have possession of the class III item as long as they're of legal age and aren't a criminal, which cost me nothing...dealer supplied the paperwork

My next venture will be the Advanced Armament Tirant 9mm. It runs $695 (plus $200 tax stamp)

Tax stamp is what I meant. I couldn't get the right words in my head! Not uncommon these days! Thanks!

I got a Silencer Co Spectre II waiting for me, it was about $300 something + $200 tax stamp.

I did mine as an indivdual instead of trust, really wish I would of went trust.

I did all three of my suppressor's as a individual I may at some future point move them into a trust.
Day dreaming about a centerfire pistol can next

Do you pay the tax stamp on every can?

yes, $200 every time says Uncle Sam, the stamp is for that specific suppressor. You can't trade it in and get the exact same suppressor, it is down to the serial number.

And unless you buy a purpose built all-in-one SBR/suppressor you get to buy (2) $200 stamps for one gun if you suppress an AR under 16" barrel length
