 This is hilarious. There are no other places in the area. The other 2 places arent worth posting, as one is the fancy expensive one and the other is too tiny to accomodate us. They only had 12 rooms, 2 of which are currently booked. Nice folks tho.

I'm thinking the Big Lynn might be the place to go, as they are the only ones who have the room to acomodate, plus, while it is a lil pricier, we do get free food for you hooligans. I'll call'em now.

See if they will block off some rooms for a few months so people can reserve. Thanks for doing this Rae.

There is this place too, tho its much further away from the original place (Lil Swiss).

Some reviews are good, some not so good.

Okay, talked to Vicki and Big Lynn Lodge, super nice, very accomodating. She will keep one section for us, if we fill that up she'll put them where she can find space. Told her she probably wanted to keep us together and away from general pop.

The rates on the rate sheet are negotiable, if we book at least 6-7 rooms we can expect a discount. Until we book at least that many rooms, she isn't certain what the exact cost would be, so go with what is on the link sheet I linked, and expect a reduction of that. Make sure you pay attention to how many beds are in a room, most of them have 2 full size beds in each, so you can share space with someone, but a few only have one, so if you plan on sharing dont pick that one.

The meals are definitely free, even when I told her about all you hosses,, she said they could handle it.

It's in a good location, an hour from Boone and Ashville, and less than 20 minutes to Grandfather Mountain, the caverns, the Lynnville Falls, and several other fun things to do.

Finally, she recommended we book no later than the month of July as they will start filling up for September reservations by then.

This place gets my vote. ETA: If you call, let them know you are with Twowheelfix, she'll take care of us.

Mine too, let's make it happen and just go with that one, voting not needed lol. You can start another thread about reservations and have contact info on the top if you want or I can do it later.

That price, $127 for 2 beds plus food is a good deal because that is what we paid last year without food.

the chi 03-31-2011 12:34 PM

And if you share a room with someone you're looking at 63.50 a night, so avg at 4 nights total would be $254 (not including tax I assume) and the only food you gotta pay for is lunches while we're out.

I'll take care of it Trip. Derf, dont forget to vote on how many you bringing.
