Probably did effect him, he probably held on to see it announced and let go afterward.

Its a little weird hearing folks who just yesterday complain about those "greedy rich ceo's" come close to tears over an actual greedy rich ceo.
I feel bad for anyone who has to go what he went through and I feel bad for his family. As for his legacy....its just "stuff" |

Peple don't need the I-whatever5sv2.8. Nor do people need to go to a starbucks and spend extra for coffee. So those CEOs are okay. |
Always been an Apple/Mac fan since my first computer as a kid. I hope they can continue to make good products. By all accounts Steve was an asshole but you have to respect what he was able to do.

Never been a fan of the iPod or iPhone lines, but I may decide to test out this whole macbook thing once the bank account grows a bit and my Sony lets go.
Cancer sucks. Rip Steve. |

I wouldn't call his recent history that of an innovator, as he didn't create any of the technologies that his products used, but he was a marketing genius who could sure read societal trends. The iPod wasn't the first MP3 player, but it became the ubiquitous one. The iPhone wasn't the first smartphone, but it's the one everyone thinks of first.
