I've got a buddy at work offering to sell me his .38 special for $200. It's a Rossi M 351 w/ 2" barrel. He's only fired 39 rounds through it and bought it brand new. Thoughts?

$230 new for the 3"

Finished building my AR15. Since everyone will ask for specs, here they are:

DPMS lower receiver
BCM upper receiver - 16" mid length, 1/7 twist, chambered for .223 and 5.56
Ambidextrous safety since I'm left handed. :D
Magpul flip-up rear sight
Magpul stock and grip
Magpul MOE handguards

This covers the important stuff I think. I have a different trigger guard to put in, but I need to get some different punches first. I also want to toss a scope on it for some long distance shooting, but I figure I'll get proficient with the iron sights first.

Now on with the pics!

little late but......

why is he selling it after so few rounds?
can you try it out?
price doesn't seem terrible I would only be concerned with why he is selling.
you save $30 and no paperwork, not a bad thing.

if he lets you try it out run a full box of shells through it. my Taurus for the first couple boxes would "bind" up after 20 shots or so. build up in the revolver made it hard to rotate to the next shell. after a few boxes and some good cleanings, no more issues.

looks like a great little gun. Which trigger did you use? Being a Lefty myself I will probably switch my ARs over to the Ambi Safety. I don't know if you have tried them or not but my last 223 build was using a Stag Left Handed upper Receiver and Le left handed bolt, Now CMMG is producing a Ambi Upper but as of this moment I think you still have to use the Stag Left Handed Bolt if you want to go that way.

Thanks! Just using the stock mil-spec trigger right now. A buddy of mine has a Geissele (I think) trigger that's been worked over that he has offered to me for a price of course. LOL. I do like the ambi safety. I've not tried a full on left handed AR. I'm so used to conquering and overcoming the right handed world that I didn't even think about it.
