It's ALLLL relative. There's things you can NEVER do here. But all the things that you can do here year round, can still be appreciated for part of the year up there. The northeast is the best of both worlds.

cant beat the scenery during fall and winter

and i dont like the beach anyway im more of a fresh water person

three things you dont have down here, ability to ski / snowboard quickly (when you are up there how often do you actually do it? ) , great bread / pizza (from the good tap water), and truly fast - food, that i dont eat anyway.

the pros are heavily outweighed.
