I run the PDX's in my SW Governor 410 isn't AS impressive as the 12's but I can count on them to rap it up quickly

Ok I have the fever again. and with Fathers day coming up I may treat myself to another firearm. I have three or four things popping in and out of my mind. 1 a few years ago Someone made a good offer on My Bulgarian AK74 and I have yet to replace it. 2 I have always liked the concept of long gun and handgun in the same caliber so there are 2, possibilities here. A, I have a great SW Performance center Model 29 V-comp, so grabbing up either a Rossi or Winchester lever In 44 mag is attractive. ( a Ruger Semi Auto Carbine would be great too but hard to find) In the Same Vein option B. I love my new PS90 (except for Ammo Cost) and grabbing up a Five-seveN with 3 or 4 20 round Mags is attractive as well (pricey but in my mind way cool) # I see Cdnn still has the S&W the 5.45x39 Uppers They are neat and having an AR in a 7th Caliber has its attractions as well, but I am little fearful of grabbing the wrong Mag Gun Combo.
Lastly and out side of my Budget unless I sell something the PS90's Big Brother the FS2000 Despite it odd looks I like the bullpup design it is left hand friendly and because of it's short nature Ideal for running a Can on. So let me know where the Hive Mind gos with this

I understand that part. My fear because I keep makes loaded for each of my rifles is that I would grab a 5.56 loaded mag or equally as dangerous slam a mag of 5.45 into the the 5.56

Eh...if you have a brain I dont see that happening. The bullets are too different. Takes a second to tell the difference.

I never see them for sale. Tons of Mosin-Nagants, but never the Tokarev.

Honestly if I were better organized that would be true. I have far to many AR's in to many calibers. As it is I use Color Coded P Mags for the 300 Blackout. and if I do the the SW Upper in %.45 I will have to figure out something else.
The SVt 40 are great but getting your hands on one seems a bit of a challenge right now. I f you find a source , Please share!

The bullets and sometimes the magazines are different but the rifles can be identical except for the barrel. I have a few rifles that externally are identical; same lower, handguards, and upper receivers. Only the chambering is different.

I'm going to try colored electrical tape on the magazine base and magwell to differentiate.
