If I got one, I would have to look into getting some wider wheels to fit better tires. I would put a full system and rejet because that really make this bike come to life. Other than that, this bike is crazy go nuts kewl. It's nice to see someone offering a great bike in the 250 class finally.

The bike is so sick looking. I still can't believe it. It looks just as high and just as long as my R6. Maybe I'll get a used one in a couple years and beat the shit out of it on the track.

Pure speed isn't everything. Sometimes it's great to buzz around on something like the Ninjette.

My buddy just tried to buy an O6 FZ1. A Local Yamaha/Honda Stealership wanted $7249 for the 06 tht has been sitting there forever. The 07s were $7269. Yes a $20 difference. They wouldn't budge on the price. Which apparently I found out they have 3 brand new 2004(Yes I said 4) Honda RC51s that are still in the crates. They won't budge on their prices plus they have complete assholes working there. They'll cuss in front of customers. Which I don't care about cussing but I think it's bad salesmenshop. For all they know I could be a multi-millionare preacher who would love to buy more toys.

My buddy had $7000 cash and if they came down to probably $7000(OTD) or less he would have bought it that day and the bike would be gone.

Anyways I guess it's been established that $5000 is way too much.

Which honestly if you can be patient I bet some used 08s will pop up fairly soon. A lot of people get them for a few months then want something faster. So they sell them for fairly reasonble.

Also have you looked into the Ninja650r? I hear those are some pretty decent beginner bikes too. Also my buddy got an 08 SV650s and that thing is perfect beginner bike. The torque on it is not bad at all. It's nothing like the carbed SV650s which had a lot of torque around 2-3k which can get dangerous. Just a thought.

But good luck with your hunt.
