Gonna stop and get nylock 3/8" wing nuts for the mounting bolts and hair pins for the axle rod. I feel pretty good about it so far....

Why the pics of the front chock?

I like the DIY nature of the rear bracket but it just looks like it is waiting to scar your knee or fairings as you load the bike after a long day of riding.

Oh I showed the front chock to show that I load the bike with the locking front chock, strap the front wheel down and then install the brackets. To unload, I take the brackets off, remove the strap, and then unload the bike.

Gotcha.

I was thinking the brackets stayed in place like strapless stands or the Pit Bull system.

If you are going to be putting them on and taking the off that often, I'd mount them with a cotter pin and rod system like the chock uses.

Yea I'm considering that option.... I went this way because I wanted to use crap that I had at my house already... :rockwoot: I might also go with a rod through the axle as well and have a friend turn the spacers out of aluminum.

Looks good, but instead of removing the rear connections, is there any easy to just fold them down away from the bike? Possibly a hinge on each one, and a strap or a bar that holds the two sides together. That would make them permanent fixtures, but still be able to get out if the way.

I like it. I agree with shmike... I'd do some rod and cotter pins...

That's not ghetto...

I considered a hinge but decided to make them completely removable for other uses. I went with wing nuts and hair pins on the mounts. It really only takes a few minutes to install, even with the nuts and a ratchet.
