cool or not cool
so next yr, i have to start picking up both kids from school, he's too young to ride legally behind me. so the answer, sidecar
is this thing cool? http://images.craigslist.org/5E85Fb5...92760414ef.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/5I55L15...3d13641650.jpg all for $10K, sounds like a pretty decent deal to me |
|
Put one on the tuono :rockwoot:
|
|
The first one's pretty cool.
The second and third screams: "Really? Just buy a car dude" |
Sidecars = cool in my world. Of course, that has no bearing in the real world.
|
I've seen the Valkrie combo locally.
Looked like a very happy couple |
I like the 2nd one best... the Goldwing is an abomination... I like the Valkrie too...
|
I like side cars, but none of those (though #1 is by far the best).
It needs a certain look to be cool.... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...68-sidecar.jpg |
Yeah now THAT's really cool!
|
Eye of the beholder and all that...but....I can't get over the "Why bother? Just take the cage" thing when I see a sidecar set up. :idk:
|
why drive a car, when i can ride?
that bimmer is cool, and i might go that route, i still has to be rreliable as i still have to drive to/from work, then pick the kids up. maybe 2 sidecars so Z can ride them too school, lol |

Triumph has some great "retro" bikes with modern reliability. |
true, and if a recent day retro bike w/ a sidecar came along i'd consider it.
but adding a sidecar is pretty expensive, easily $2-3k for a nice one. much easier to buy a 'built' one, let somebody else take the hit. |
|
What about the Urals?
|
dunno about 65+mph on those things, lol

Take that away and what's left? You're basically just driving a convertible car that you have to gear up for. Sure, it's something unusual, probably exciting for the kids... but are you really going to enjoy it enough to justify that much room taken up in your garage? |

$16.5k though
travelin in style, lol |
So I guess the one I posted with the 14R being the same, makes the headlights be less cool if it's just a brand. I thought they were some custom glass work to match the 14R.

Hannigan is the "coach" builder, pretty high end nonetheless
|
I like the Victory set up.
|
Just buy a Ural and be done with it.

hmmm........next potential road trip
spokane, washington http://images.craigslist.org/3Ld3Je3...39252419e0.jpg not very cool, but practical, low mileage bike 6k, low price $3k.... |
Just don't hit a prius or you'll be picking up glitter for hours!!!!
(Scot) |
lol
this'd be my longest road trip for a bike yet, 2300mi vs 1200 for the 'busa keke |
That's not a bike, it's a moped. It's like one step above those motorized wheelchairs for people that can't walk because they're too fa... never mind, get it Ed. You two were built for each other.

On the other hand, if you want one that's finished and ready to go, there are a few out there, but they do command a premium price. |

Not a fanboy....I just admire the talent and rather envious I don't have the skills nor the resources to do the stuff he does
But this is badass :rockwoot: http://24.media.tumblr.com/27226c1b2...o1bo1_1280.jpg |
What IS legal age (and/or height?) for a kid to ride with?
