A few pics of the new Ducati Streetfighter... full details of this 155 bhp beast will be on www.ducati.com toninght. it looks and sounds amazing!!!

Far from a naked 1098, the streetfighter has a unique frame, longer swingarm, unique tank, dash, led headlight system and is fitted with twin small radiators instead of one wide one to keep the bikes profile very narrow.

Available in two versions, the S spec bike gets full 8 stage adjustable traction control and datalogging, Ohlins suspension and forged lightweight wheels! now that is a high spec bike!

S model is set to be available later this year and base models early 2009.

Prices to follow later this week.

Exactly my thoughts!

Holy shit. Ducati's really got their shit together.

fnfalman 11-04-2008 09:03 AM

The headlight unit is ugly but the rest doesn't look bad. Why extending the swingarm? I don't get it?

I'd like to see it pitted against the regular Tuono. The Tuono may be down by 20-HP, but I'm willing to bet that the chassis will more than make up for it.

jeeps84 11-04-2008 09:49 AM

Im sure the longer swingarm has something to do with the new frame.

I love it! Prolly priced to take on the KTM Super Duke but it is better looking to me. Plus I like red over orange...Good looking bike.

PhiSig1071 11-04-2008 11:42 AM

It's weird, I LOVE the SuperDuke, but this things doesn't do it for me. I'll have to see one in person before I make a decision on it, but for right now it's a thumbs-down.

marko138 11-04-2008 11:44 AM

I think the SuperDuke is better looking than this Duc. But this sucker may put down more power.

DLIT 11-04-2008 08:18 PM

I would love to rock that.

jalaan1 11-04-2008 09:31 PM

hhmmmm, very interesting.
i would def. like to see that in person & up close.

Local dealer going to keep the first one they get for a week. Sure it will be sold well before it arrives. They already had three calls for info and possible early order. Just put my name on the call list when it arrives. Dont think I woul bring one home any time soon but still wanna see it.

They need to price this thing competitive cause i was reading last night about the naked bike offerings...$9000 will buy you a 696 Duc, a 750 Aprilia Shiver, or you can buy the new Triumph Daytona 675 tripleR and blow them both away...If that naked Duc comes in close to the Monster range, cheaper than the big Monster and more than the 696, then they could have a winner.

KSGregman 11-06-2008 10:32 AM

*drool*

12 to 15 was what I was told. Its basically a 1098 with handle bars. Not going to be cheap. But a S4RS will set you back that much and the streetfighter will be lots better in performance. Probably just slightly more comfy than the 1098. May not be worth the pain for somebody like me standing 5'10". Just to far to reach for the bars everyday.

OneSickPsycho 11-06-2008 09:51 PM

I'm totally jerking off right now... I think I'd still rather have a SuperDuke though...
