Look at the bikes he's surrounded by. Even the broken one kicks ass.

Hope you heal up quick.

Damn dude, glad you didn't get hurt worse. How'd you go down? I see a busted bar and scratched tank, what's the rest of the bike look like?

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone. The verdict is multiple fractures to my left forearm (radius & luna).
The day started out pretty good. Other than a minor issue with the front end pushing a little bit that was corrected with a change of tire pressure, I was feeling pretty confident with the Pilot Powers and gradually picking up corner entry speed with every session. Then coming out of T14, I got on the throttle a little harder than usual to get a good drive onto the front strait and that was the end of my day. The back end slid out and gripped catapulting me over the bars. (the stereo typical high side) I landed on all fours with my left arm sustaining most of the impact. Rolled and slid on my back for a bit. Saw quite a few bikes fly by me as I was on my back looking up. I got up as fast as I could and made my way up the banking behind the cones where the pain started to settle in.
I'd like to thank all the riders that were behind me for taking evasive action to keep from running over me. Otherwise, things could have been much worst for me.

Now with my left arm in a cast, I need assistance pressing control alt delete.

That sucks man, sorry to hear it. Heal up quick man.

Oh the things we risk in order to have some fun.

PhiSig1071 01-21-2009 11:11 AM

Highsides are scary, I broke two ribs in a highside a few years ago, not fun. What track?

azoomm 01-21-2009 11:18 AM

OMG!! Heal quickly and completely... bummer about the off though.

alecracing 01-21-2009 11:44 AM

you fall down, go boom!

SoFlaSV 01-21-2009 01:15 PM

If you're going to go down, and we all will, better to do it at the track than on the street.

No shit, I have had two get-offs at the track, both at Jennings, and wasn't hurt by either one. I've had two street get-offs that I got banged up pretty bad in.

Good luck healing Phil! I've had a broken wrist before and being that yours is worse, I can sympathize with your pain.

Before you know it, you'll be healed, wearing your umpa-lumpa pants showing everyone your eye! :)

Hows the healing coming along, Phil? You need anything?

Ninjakel 01-24-2009 08:59 AM

Plus uno.

We were wondering about this last night.

Moto Phil 01-24-2009 10:55 AM

Thanks for the concerns. It's comforting to know you got people worrying about you at times like this. As strange as it may sound, my ex-wife has been helping me out quite a bit. :idk: Running my errands and picking up food and meds.
