WTF? Turn signal on your sleeve?

I saw it while on the way to work this morning. I've never heard of such a thing but it was cool, an actual blinking arrow on the rider's sleeve. Definitely added some visibility! :dthumb:

Gotta get me one of those... :)

Yeah, that's NOT it. The signal was an actual blinking arrow on his arm right below his shoulder. It's a good thing I was stopped at a light because I was slightly distracted by it.
I've been looking all morning for photos on the interwebz... no joy... :(

Chi - I saw him on 98 in Navarre...I was so mesmerized by it that I forgot to notice what kind of sport bike he was on. It was yellow

I think it's the beak...

racedoll 05-18-2009 09:04 PM

Sounds pretty cool, but I think I'll stick with the ones on the bike.

Cruzergirl 05-18-2009 09:39 PM

The thing that really caught my attention were the shear number of turn signals. All the normal ones AND the sleeves. Kinda reminded me of the Urban Cowboy with slightly fewer lights.

I hope someone finds a picture or I'm gonna have to track this guy down...

Yes, but they might have used this to do just the sleeves.

And some people are creative enough to use the link to make a blinky sleeve jacket, instead of paying for it. Sorry, next time I'll stfu.

Ditto that.

I think I'd also opt for a plain leather jacket over a 'safety signal' hoodie!

But along the same lines (though more practical/durable), I am considering picking up a pair of these:

(mostly for the high/wide brake lights)

I'd feel kind of silly with blinkers on my back, but those I can do.

Me too.. would have helped out this morning when I almost got smashed turning from a stop sign... guy decided that since I looked like I wanted to go straight, that in the middle of my turn he takes off...

Smittie61984 05-22-2009 11:32 PM

I use a Disco ball for blinkers. Funky town next left!!!
