Hybrid street/all terrain pickup tire
So one of my rear tires decided to separate on the highway coming home yesterday. They're old and shit happens.
I'm driving a 1993 F150 (235/75r15) and it's just a drive pickup now, but I don't want straight street tread. Also I don't want to spend a ton on tires because once I get my samurai running this will just be used when I need the bed or haul something. It's too much of a gas guzzler to drive daily. I've called a few places and the Goodyear Wrangler popped up twice. I'm guessing the "radial" model since I was quoted $412 + tax installed. There's other models but they're over $120 a tire. What else is a good hybrid tire? Would like to keep them under $500 installed but will go a bit more if need be. |
Wranglers are good tires, I've had them on a few trucks. My work trucks seem to have Firestone similar, got at a firestone shop. But I tell ya... last time I put tires on even a car... bought some Bridgestone Blizzax for the wife's 16" tires... it cost me nearly $700. Tires are stupid expensive these days due to the price of oil.
$420 seems like a good price for 4. |
ended up getting them. Now to fix the damage.

Wrangler silent armors are good, I'm happy with the Hankook ATM's I have now too.
