loose throttle grip
I went to the store earlier today and on my way there I was accelerating at a brisk pace to merge with traffic on the highway. I grabbed a handful of throttle and nothing happened, the bike just fell flat on its face. Within moments I realized it was just a loose handgrip that was spinning around the plastic housing, not really a big deal, but annoying. I was able to use the throttle by squeezing it pretty hard.
Anyway I did a quick fix with a pair of zip ties on each end of the throttle grip just to hold it in place. I'm gonna buy a new set of grips, but is there any good way to keep them in place solid? |
grip glue, but then its impossibly hard to get them off.

Hair spray works great. Just buy the cheapest stuff you can find. I have nearly an entire can left over from when I swapped out my bars almost two years ago. I fogged them good. Just ask Trip about taking them off

Personally I would use grip glue.
I've done the hairspray trick on every single pair of grips I've done... I guess it's the climate here in TX, but they all came off/come loose. |
I did the hair spray thing at daves house a few weeks ago. Worked fine for a minute, then poof out of nowhere it broke free
