last month a rider died while going head on with a car taking a turn too wide tryingto keep up with his buddy. I went for two Sundays after that and all I saw were riders patting the top of their lids indicating cops. It seems like they're fed up with riders there. And with the construction going on, its kind of a drag. I did however manage to squeeze in a Friday morning and there were minimal cars, riders, and no cops. Just the road, the breeze, and the view.
So I recommend weekdays over weekends if possible for Ortega. If you do go on a weekend, just beware of the law.
