Very true! I took a 30 minute test ride and came back and bought one. It's as kick ass as all the reviews say. Best bike I've ever ridden right out of the box. I still love my Japanese bikes too....

My buddy has an '01 Gixxer 1K and that's a fun bike with plenty of power. As long as you have fun with it, you "don't need no stinkin' new bike". Ride safe.

Started on a Honda Super 90 in 1965 at age 13. That was too big according to the law at that time. You were limited to 5bhp until you were 16, and the 90 had 9bhp!!! What a beast!
