karma did bite one of them though, they decided to come in as a patient while i was working and made them wait, they actualy went to another part of the ER and aske don eof the other docs to see them. which was fine with me, meant one less thing I had to do and I didnt have to interact with them or pretend that I cared
Fortunatley we have the kick ass registrar in the main ED so if I realy need help I go to her. But shes been getting on me since I havent made food for her in a while. Seems I need to keep my favorite people well fed to get stuff done

The secret to happy ER employees is food. It's always food, especially overnight. One of the charge nurses makes a huge vat of soup every single night that she works. One of the weekend docs brings in two dozen Dunkin Donuts and two of those boxes of their coffee. A couple times a month we have a pot luck and the philipino nurse mafia brings in all kinds of delicious food stuffs. One of the Docs cooked an assload of cookies every night she was working this past week. And you can bet we work our asses off just a little bit harder in appreciation.
I love working nights.
