True, but once a lot of alcohols have aired (ie. the bottle has been opened), the flavor really does start to turn.
I also don't like getting stuck with a bunch of bottles of alcohol in my cabinet that I, for whatever reason, decide I don't want to drink. My roommate isn't a big drinker either and we don't have company very often so stuff can sit in there for years.
