The belt is considered "lifetime", but that depends on what lifetime is on a sportbike.
I usually replace mine at around 20,000 miles. For many sport bikes, this IS lifetime. The belts are not much if any more expensive than a good 530 X-Ring chain and you don't have to replace the sprockets.
You also don't have to clean, lube, and adjust the belt.
I still have one 2009 White and Blue 1125R.
