I usually replace mine at around 20,000 miles. For many sport bikes, this IS lifetime. The belts are not much if any more expensive than a good 530 X-Ring chain and you don't have to replace the sprockets.

I still have one 2009 White and Blue 1125R.

I was tempted to swing by the Harley dealership and sit on one but last time I was in there the sales guys were horrid.
