Shoot, I do it on the Magna if I'm riding somewhat spirited, and that's a cruiser! It's a quick rev-er though. It definitly doesn't seem to mind. Don't try on a Hardely.
I clutch the 1-2 shift though like others have said. I'm not quite good enough to master that one.
