Test Ride: S1000RR
This bike is the fuckin devil. It feels as nimble in the corners as my 600RR and if you have ever ridden a 07-10 generation RR, you know what I am talking about. The shit just holds.
This was a unescorted ride and basically gave me full reign. The bike just goes, I have ridden a 06 1000RR and a 05 gixxer 1000 and there is no comparison between those two and this one. The bike has power on top of power. My 600RR is a joke. Brakes are Brembo, nuff said. This one was full out, it had traction control, I don't know if I triggered it, but I had no slips and didn't get it hot enough in the corners for it to be an effect, so I have no comment here. ergos are amazing, the bike just fits me like a glove. It feels right. Only negative is the can is going to be used as a heel guard. The demo bike had scuffs already and it wasn't even at 100 miles yet. If there is a bike that could get me back on a sportbike, it's definitely this bike. Too bad I can't afford the GS and this bike, I would have both, but I don't want to give up my GS. I rode it home from the dealership and still love it more, but I am considering selling the DRZ and picking up a track mule.

I've sat on one and really liked the feel, can't wait to actually ride one.

Why on EARTH would you think that? BMW's intent with this bike is to take over the world. They would let you ride one just because you rode up on another brand - here.... taste the blue kool-aide.

If you're a fan of the SuperDuke - I highly recommend the StreetFighter. It's a shit ton more power and better suspension.

I'm a fan of the V twin, and can't afford a ducati. Plus the KTM dealership is closer.

Consider that the Duck has an advantage of 200-cc worth of displacement, it better have a shit ton more power. As far as better suspension goes? I doubt it.

Take over the world? The bike is definitely in demand, but the production capacity isn't there. I bet even the ZX10R will outsell it
