Caught a Bowfin
So Saturday was opening day for Bass season so like any good fisherman my son and I went fishing. Aside from catching some Bass, some Northern Pike and some blue gill(used as live bait for the pike) I caught one of these ugly ass fish. I thought it was a Snakehead as I've never seen one before but it turned out to be a Bowfin or sometimes called a Dogfish. It put up a hell of a fight and lived out of water for 30 minutes before I could identify him and threw him back in the water.

Hmmm, didn't know they were that far north! They are plentiful in the Okefenokee swamp and some south GA lakes. They are called "mudfish" down here also. They will put up one hell of a fight though, lots of fun to catch.
