Anyone speak a different language?
My chinese is going down the drain! Since i have no one to speak with except for my mom, i don't get enough practice.
Just spoke to my mom for the past half hour. Half the time i get can't what i wanted to say from my head to my mouth. I think she finally got frustrated and made an excuse to get off the phone! |

That's how I lost my French fluency- I don't know anyone who speaks the language.
I do speak a little bit of Spanish and Japanese, though.

I speak portuguese fluently, but being as I live with my mom right now, it helps the practice.
I also took 3 years of French and 3 years of Japanese. And in the next few months I'm going to start learning some very basic Arabic.

First language is Cursing... distant second is Military (Air Force dialect)... then finally English.... but it's rusty as I get tired of pressing one to hear it.

Used to be very fluent in french, but sam as above nobody else speaks it.
If I get worked up folks tell me that they think I am speaking another language, but its just my NY accent breaking through.

I speak very broken sorta Spanish. It's enough to do my job at work. I understand a lot more than I can speak though. I used to speak very stilted broken German, but that was from living in Germany and being around the language. Now my broken german is littered with broken spanish.

I took 3 years of spanish in high school and all I can remember from it are the stupid phrases my friends and I used to scream down the halls, and even those are fading.

I can understand Italian pretty well, and some Russian. Leon speaks Russian pretty fluently, so me being around him and his family for the last 6 years helped me a bit.
