Default There's An App For That!!!

There has been a discussion about GPS on phones not loading maps out of service...well there's a solution. There a couple free apps that allow you to download maps for use offline. Considering the fact that my phone will take up to a 32g memory card (has 8g now )...I'm sure that a map of this area will be no problem. Ha now what Nick?

I've got the 8310 Curve. But I'm also not that close to filling the card, so it's not an issue...yet.

Is it a different map app or is it something that downloads googles map?

Seems pretty cool if it is google. Let us know if it works. Deals gap would be a good place to test.

It would be great for the car for me but I like my glove friendly zumo for the bike. Don't have to worry about rain.

I'll be testing today! Supposedly, it also tracks where you go and keeps your stats, max speed, distance, etc, as well. You can save routes on it for later, which I like because I often go places for work that I'd like to visit later on the bike.

I use Motionx Gps app on my iphone and as long as I have a clear view to the sky, ti will use satellites to work as a GPS, even if I have no service.
