Default Cable TV

Who doesnt have cable TV? I am considering getting rid of the service. A few months ago, my bill was @ $110, for BASIC cable(no DVR or premium channels) and medium speed internet. Pissed me off, so I called and threatend to cancel.
My bill now is $79 a month, but I still want to cancel, I really dont watch TV except for a few shows that I can get off netflix/hulu/youtube.
$30 a month At&t DSL and $13 a month netflix and maybe blockbuster is better that $80 bucks a month for cable internet.
Anyone do this?

dsl and dish network

thought about going to directv, they got a better HD lineup for me, but they are more expensive and they don't seem to list any dual tuner boxes on their site like dish. I get off much cheaper by only having two dual tuner boxes instead of paying for four singles.

I have considered it but haven't done it yet. The wife watches more TV than I do.

I'm paying less than $90 (with taxes) for cable (HD/DVR) and internet.

Really? Because my signal disappears every time we get even a light rain. The receiver is reporting ~93 for signal strength for all sats.

douchebag has been known to reduce reception.

You've been using it for years without even knowing it.

I too had serious weather related outages some years back with both dish based TV providers (even with 90+ signal in dry). If I wasn't, er, testing, I'd have been pissed.

The only reason we still have cable through Time Warner is the internet. Otherwise we'd have jumped ship long ago. DSL sucks. Dc every 10 mins no thanks..
