Default Humans simply don't know anything about anything.

So I'm trying to cut down to 145lbs for fights I have coming up in August. There is prize money involved and every time that happens there is a lot of weight cutting that goes on. Really I need to lose the last 5lbs of belly fat I have, then I can cut 5 more in a sauna, as I'm 155 right now.

Anyway, eating healthy is pretty common sense, but I was looking for some solid advice on making those last two lower abs pop through. Aside from the general common sense nutrition stuff (don't drink sodas, etc.) there was great, GREAT debate on every forum or comment section I read. Carbs are the devil, carbs are the bomb...can't survive without 'em, eat lots of fruit, don't eat any fruit, blah blah blah...and so on.

Then I realized that pretty much every subject is like this from religion to politics to the environment and that we just don't know shit....but man, we sure do get an A+ for pretending we do!

Maybe with a different thread title the guys who actually know something about nutrition may chime in... but for now, you got me... a guy who's goal is to lose 100lbs by 2012.

I don't really need any advice, it was more of an observation on human nature. I'm pretty sure the weight will come off from eating super clean and working out twice a day...I just wanted to gain some more insight.

Dude, you're trying to lose 100lbs in 6 months? I do believe that could kill you...

4lbs a week... shouldn't be too terrible... And if I die... at least I'll look good for the funeral.

truth is, there are more roads than one to get to where you want to be. someone had success doing something remotely similar to what you are asking about so they start talking from experience (or not at all sometimes). unfortunately on the intarwebs, you are not heard unless you sound really sure of your point of view, demonstrated by shitting on other's advice that differs.

1oo lbs in 6 months isn't bad if done right, but its not easy to do.

As for the original question, start with 5oo sit ups a day between now and then, eat smaller portions but noter times
