Seriously. I was at the salon, as a woman proceded to tell me a car with a MANUAL transmission does not have neutral. That, to me, is more scary than a runaway throttle.

These stories are driving me crazy!! Of course people do panic but throw it in Neutral for crying out loud! Screw the engine I want to live!!

It would appear to me that the Toyotas in question require the driver mod.

the news had some guy w/ a prius having had time to call 911, and a CHP unit ran along side and talked him down......???

WTF..........and i have never heard any news mention a remedy like..............apply brakes.
