Default "Grand" Adventure

A girlfriend and I decided to take an adventure this past week. We flew to Phoenix on Wednesday. Then drove to Tusayan where we spent the night.

We got up early Thursday and made our way to Bright Angel Lodge at the Grand Canyon. Took the 6am bus to Kaibab Trail head and started our way down about 6:25am.

15.5 miles and 10.5 hours later we emerged at the top of the canyon on Bright Angel Trail. We did exactly what they recommend NOT doing. I'm so proud of October. She was a little sick going in and it got worse as the day wore on. We did a lot of stopping on the way up, but she made it.

Drove to Sedona where we stayed Thursday and Friday, flew home on Saturday.

Was a great get away and looking forward to our next adventure. It was also nice to have "girl" time.

Found a very nice road between Jerome and Prescott. Something like 158 curves in 12 miles. Lots and lots of motorcycles around, and beautiful weather. Too bad I wasn't on the bike. Found out today that my boss is going out there and riding the exact road I'm referring to.

At the start

At the bottom

Almost to the top

Blurry - but we are done. We did it!!!

Gotta be difficult, don't ya?

Not sure how I do that. This is the first time I've used Picasa to host my pictures.

I made them a little larger, hopefully that works.

He's always got to be difficult.
Looks like it was a great trip. My girlfriend and I are going on an adventure in June, to Myrtle Beach.
Great pics!

Nice place to take a trip. I like the somewhat spontaneous decision making; those usually turn out to be the best times.

Sounds like a fantastic trip!

I love that area.

Sedona/Jerome have a special place in my life.
