Where a Pilot Road 2 begins to slip under throttle at 44 degrees??? I thought about laying it down to save it, but my pucker factor kept me on the seat when it wiggled.

At least now I know my limits with this tire in this weather..

Ps.. I need to learn to use this camera or to buy a good one..

Jesus, is that a knobbie? If you're slipping even in street use, it might be time to move to a more aggressive tire next time

I must have missed what's funny about the whole "lay it down" thing I'm seeing everywhere.

Road 2's are notorious for not liking the cold. It's a trade off. My corsa iii's could have gone to the edges at 30 degrees and I'm sure they would have stuck well. These things I've had lock up at street lights under normal braking at anything approaching 45 degrees or so.

But, I got less than 3000 miles out of a corsa 3, and I shit you not the road 2 has more than 7000 miles on it.

hmmm, makes me leary about road 2's then. believe it or not it gets cold in ND, and i ride then.

May stick to powers... i'll get 7K out of them easy, and as long as I wait a mile they stick almost as well as the corsa's.

There was some leaves on the ground and I was about to lay it down to avoid it but the wind picked up and blew them outta the way

Yeah..

The bike was still in the garage and I hadn't started it up yet. I saw the leaves in the road and I started the process to lean it over to lay it down but then the wind picked up and blew the leave away. I didn't even have a chance to get the kickstand all the way up.

So i just put it back on the kick stand and finished putting on my helmet.

The other day there were leaves and the garbage truck was in front of the house collecting garbage. I said "ole shit!!", put on some jeans, ran into the garage and knocked both bikes over.
Had to lay em down.
