They got the regular flu vaccine already, they don't need the swine flu variety.

In NY swine flu vaccine is only being given to people more at risk so little kids will get it as well as the elderley. Apparently were being forced to get it as well. Hope someones around on the overnights to give it because I sure as hell aint staying late or comming in on my day off for it.

Same here, they are targeting the high risk groups first which are young kids and the elderly, then healthcare related workers.

We also are trying to get the immuno compromised people in as well between the diabetics and HIV pts. Plus our hospital does a lot of kidney transplants so theyre all prolly going to get vaccinated last I heard.

Wierd. Health Canada says the elderly and young are not at risk, just the young adults to 30 somethings.

Not quite. Elderly and young are considered already immunosuppressed. That's why they're "at risk" for any flu (swine or H1N1 included).

Both my daughters will be getting shots on Monday. There have been three verified H1N1 cases in my eldest's marching band as of yesterday... it might already be too late. We get flu shots every year. So far, no flu [knock on wood]. H1N1 vac. was recommended by my doc and the girls' doc.

Its still swine flu around where I work, most of my patients arent smart enough to know what H1N1 is. Theyre trying to inform the public if you have it to just stay home because there isnt anything to do for most people anyway.
