I've never personally seen a news story progress from start to finish containing more than 25% accuracy. It's quite astonishing. I can only imagine what leads you to say that. Once you've seen the press in action, you never believe much of what you read or see again.

Watch his documentary, he actually does a good job with it. The best one I've seen from the recent wars.

agreed, it actually shows some pretty harsh shit, no holds barred real life shit. Everything from boredom, to all out full fledged chaos in combat, even when the one dude is wailing his eyes out while his buddies are returning fire, and as soon as hes done he picks up his rifle and gets on line and starts shooting when doc and restrepo die.

Its very tastefully done, the guy doesnt show anyone doing anything super unproffessional, mild language, some shots of titties in the background on walls and shit but its a real taste of war.

The only other embed documentary that comes close is the one on natgeo with the SF team, again another real, solid quality show.

Kneejerk reaction much?

Tim Hetherington and Sebastian Junger actually built quite a rapport and relationship with the Soldiers with whom they were embedded. Not all journalists are shady fucks. These guys did a lot to tell the story of what it is to be a combat Soldier and to have to live with what you you had to do in combat.
