Default Anyone's kid do modeling/commercials?

Okay...so I might get blasted for this, but here it goes.

I know everyone thinks their child is the most beautiful child ever born, and they are, but I'm wondering if anyone has ever had their child get into modeling for adds/commercials?

Did you get an agent? Have any bad experiences? I'm just thinking this might be a good way to spend some of my mat leave and earn some extra money for my child's education.

I never considered this before. I've had a lot of people besides family/friends suggest it.

I did, also on someone else's recommendation. Just went to an agent to do some homework and research it - I don't think there is anything wrong with educating yourself. The problem I had, I went on a go-see with my daughter... then left shortly after getting there because the other mothers are insane/crazy/psycho/nuts/ . The MOM's are incredibly competitive and will do whatever they can to undermine the competition. I didn't think it was worth it.

But, again - things might have changed in the last 14 years or so....

Absolutely nothing wrong with researching.

Of course it is now because you have reality shows for these attention whore psychos so that just feeds them and makes it worse.

that's quite a surprised look

(We briefly considered it but when researching it there was so much bs that I didn't want to subject my daughter to that kind of stuff)

the business is cruel.

Grown women acting like disgusting shitheads
Toddlers, once they get a few jobs and get into "circles" end up all strung out on heroin by the age of 5

Are you prepared to hear why you child isn't cute enough?
Are you prepared to hear "what's wrong" with your child's appearance?

Are you willing to give up quality time with your child so that you can spend it at casting calls or traveling back and forth?
