Perhaps this is inconsistent with my feelings about government and businesses interfering in our personal lives, but as someone who has been stuck on a flight near an individual with strong B.O., I'm going to say good for the airline.
 I realize that not everyone has the same hygiene habits and that it's not always practical to be groomed to the tee when travelling... but for gods' sake, you're packed in with 50+ other people in a closed air system.

I went to college at NCA&TSU. The engineering dept was perdominantly Arab/Indian. Getting locked in just the ELEVATOR with some of them was a nightmare. Some of those guys smelled like they hadn't EVER seen a shower. It got to where if you saw a turban approaching the elevator you ran for the stairs. I had never experienced anything like that before.....and I can't imagine being stuck in close quarters on a plane with someone with toxic B.O. like that.
Thing is...they (nor their friends/family) seemed to smell it
