Default Injuries that have prevented you from riding?

Well, doc just told me that I have truncator tendonitis. I have torn the tendons that attach the muscles to my hip. Not sure how it happened but she says no riding for at least 4 weeks. She just laughed when I told her about my trackday this weekend. Not that it's going to stop me.

She said it's more than likely due to the bike....but could be anything considering I'm so active.

Anyone else come across anything like this?

Wow that really sucks!

I understand you wanting to go to the track day, but just be careful that you don't do permanent damage that will cause you to not ride ever.

I can ride now, I think. Just too nervous to ride on the street and I don't have a bike to ride....or a helmet to wear. And my hip hurts ALL THE TIME. :sigh:

Ya it really could've been caused by anything. The pain is less now than it was before so with daily stretching and walking (not running ) it will heal.

Just going to keep it nice and limber for Saturday. If it starts to hurt I'm off...simple as that. I've already paid so it doesn't matter much.

Have you thought about a heat pad before and after your sessions?? Something to keep the blood flow in there and to keep it limber?

Great idea. She said not to use warming/cooling gels but a heat pad would work great. Thanks!

When my back or knees act up, I can't even fathom riding. Thankfully it doesn't happen too much in the nice weather.

When I was married to "Moody" my detachable testicles prevented me from riding, as they resided mainly in her purse, but occasionally I would steal them and sneak a ride. Since 2005 though I have full possession and have ridden a MIN of 3 times weekly with no adverse effects

I've got the almost identical picture from 2007.

Mine was roadracing.

How old are you?

You look much younger than I expected.
