Recommend a television?
I'm looking for good tv for gaming. My dlp just isn't clear enough and only supports 1080i.
I can tell a huge difference between my buddy's 1080p with a 240hz refresh and mine. With that in mind, plasma has a 600hz refresh rate, would that be better for gaming? Anyway, what would you suggest in the 1200-1500 range? |

I really like my LG LED LCD
plasma will get your biggest bang for your buck since they are sorta on the way out.

Screen burn in is the main negative with plasma with gaming. My aunt runs an electronics store and has them returned more than any other because of complete failure of the TV. I wouldn't buy one.

When it comes to gaming you wont see a difference between 60, 120, and 240 Hz because consoles output at 60Hz. TV refresh rate is really only an issue when it comes to moves at 24 fps.

I bought a 60" Sharp Aquos at Sams, it's pretty bitchin. Madden looks like real football on CBS. Only thing is it doesn't have the wifi and applications like the new ones do, but all that comes from my ps3 anyway. I paid 1700 like six months ago.

I second the Lg Brand, I dont have the "Led" Lcd but My LCD is pretty kickass 1080p 120Hz...Does what i need it to without breaking the bank...Also I read an article that anything over 120Hz for a refresh rate on an LCD is a waste bc the human eye cant tell the difference.

I was figuring it was a retarded way to say LED tv. Sorry I work in IT I have to decode stupidity daily and sometimes I get stuck in that mindset.
