New TVs
My main TV had an electrical issue and blew out the bulb, some cooling fans that I replaced and then was still having issues and I don't feel like spending a few hundred dollars to fix up an older TV, so I am just going to buy a new one.
See if anyone has these models out there? Samsung UN46B8000 Samsung UN55B7100 LG 55LH90 There was a couple others, but I am narrowing the search to something more along these lines.

Toshiba is a great brand to look at too. The Regza series is stunning.

the samsung LEDS are all along the outer ring, as opposed to behind. making them able to be so thing.
i have heard of dark corners because of this.

I have the Samsung UN55B7100 and it is fucking AWESOME!!!! I got it at Best Buy on Thanksgiving weekend for $2k. I highly recommend this tv! Lots of cool internet features, super thin and an amazing picture for a decent price.

The LG has some cons, but seems to get awesome reviews and is said to be comparable blacks to baseline plasmas. I am leaning toward the LG right now. It doesn't have the internet features or extras the samsung has, but they say the Samsung can't come close in terms of picture and colors.

i couldnt care less about the internet stuff, what sold me was the matte screen compared to the ultra gloss samsung. you need a low light room for that
