TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson police officer has been told she will be fired after being arrested for drunken driving while on duty.

Police say officer Lynsey Coutts was served Tuesday afternoon with a notice of intent to terminate. Her hearing is May 29.

Department officials say the 4-year veteran had been working under an agreement since March that prohibited her from having alcohol in her system during a work shift.

Police say Coults was scheduled to start work at 9 a.m. Tuesday. She called a supervisor around 9:20 a.m. to say she was driving fast on Interstate 10 and was afraid of colliding with other vehicles.

Police say a test showed Coutts' blood-alcohol level was 0.235% - well above the legal limit of .08% to operate a vehicle in Arizona.

Whoah there... She was working under the agreement that she wouldn't have alcohol in her system while working? Awesome... it took 3.5 years to set that up AND this genius calls into work, drunk, late, and basically saying "I'm too fucked up to work"... LOL

I think this is further proof that if you are reasonably attractive, that you can get away with some crazy shit. You know damn well if she was beefy she'd have been gone day 1.
