Check on that.

Better check that ammo availability.
If they ban imports you're up the creek.

Yeah all firearms get a dry fire from time to time and seven dollars is cheap. They do seem cheaply made but I really like all the old soviet surplus stuff. I got my curio and relics dealer license so I could buy that stuff cheap off the net but it has to be more than 50 years old.

i dont think you can find one that isn't over 50 years old. they aren't cheaply made except for the firing pin and bakelite grips which crack easily

II like my AR's just fine (Currently Have 4 in various configurations) Couple things to know, They tend to get dirty and are a bit more temperamental then an AK. They are more accurate AKs, but as a rule they are only as reliable as their magazines, If you are going to get an AR lay in a large supply of USGI magazines. (count on the gun grabbers trying to ban these this time out) I would stay away from cutesy after market mags aand gadget mags. Oh and if you are going to use a suppressor of any kind on it get wear glasses at all times. The stoner direct gas systems in combination with a suppressor pushes a lot of dirt and gas back at the shooter.

Anyspecial reason you are waiting for an Armalite? Contrary to polular belief, I find that beyond the Hey it an Armalit,,, Colt or Bushmaster. Name recognition I can't find a reason not to use Stag Yankee Hill , Olympic or any of the other nicley made amrican receviers>
