Let's say music is a multi topping pizza, you got a whole bunch of toppings satisfying everyone who chipped in money to buy the pizza. Well one guy got pissed off that he didn't get his topping onto the pizza and so he took a dump on it. Rap is the nice couple of hershey's kisses laying right on top of the pizza.

I don't care for rap all that much anymore... But I did like tupac, dre, xibit, snoop, and the like. Mostly old school west coast. Though biggy and dmx I listened to a lot too.

Newer stuff just doesn't interest me.

Well one thing I will say in support of "Rap",please just don't confuse Hip Hop with Rap,they are two different types of music. A lot of people who say they don't like Rap are actually referring to Hip Hop.

It's almost funny that in your sig, you look like a stereotypical rap listener..

And one thing I will say is that, most times in rap and hip hop, they steal "sample" an already popular song throw in three different lyrics ( usually "Yeah" "Uh huh" and "Booyyyiie!") and claim it as their own.

THEN, wonder why nobody likes their art. I wouldn't repaint the mona lisa with blonde hair and pretend that I was something special.

Is that to say all rap and hip hop suck? Not at all. But, the majority of it is garbage.

Could be the fact that I'm a country born white boy. Or, it could just because the music isn't that great to people who look for substance in lyrics. Not just catchy jingles and beats.

Yeah I hear ya. I REALLY don't like most hip-hop. I haven't listened to much of either in the last year or two though.

That's my point. I don't care what you listen to.. but I'm not going to force my music tastes on anyone else (unless I'm the one driving.. then I have control of the radio ), or expect anyone to like/dislike a certain genre just because I do.
