Damn Drewpy Let us know if you know anybody that needs anything!
They are over us now. One one the ground in Murphy and warnings everywhere else. Gotta love these spring storms.

Damn. I couldn't imagine.
The closest I came to one was at Mid-Ohio. The sirens started going off when I was in the middle of one of the turns, corner working. I started looking around seeing where I should go for cover all the while worrying about where the hell my bike was going to go. It was loaded onto the trailer. Fortunately the tornado hit in Shelby like 10 miles away or so. |

The southern part of that storm front that moved through there hit us hard here last night. We had tornado warnings but being in a valley, we rarely see it. It's been more than 15 years since one has been spotted. I couldn't imagine having one actually touch down.

I was on my way back from Road America last year after the AMA races and I stopped at a gas station and the people working there said I should come in the back room with them away from all the windows cause there was a tornado on its way. I asked if I could bring my bike in. They said no so I turned and ran out the door, jumped on my bike and left. As I got on the highway I heard the sirens going off so I tucked my head and wound her up. I heard later that a tornado hit about 10 min after I left. but at over 100 MPH I was a ways away by then and after that the rest of the trip was sunny and perfect.

That was bad up there! Glad it wasn't any worse though.
We got lucky, just some hard rain, then just as I pulled in the driveway we started getting a little hail... well, not exactly little... I pulled under a cedar tree to try to shield my truck a little, can't tell if it's dented for all the tree pieces covering it but it did only last a minute or so... |
