A close friend of mine got the flu shot with is baby last year and lost the use of his arm for about 3 months. They hit a nerve or something when they gave him the shot and from the mid fore arm down he had no movement or feeling for a few months. He wore a wrist brace just so his hand did not flop around.
I had ever knew that could be a side affect till it happened to him. I'll not get another one. |

Something like that is most likely from poor injection technique vs the flu vaccination itself. |

that's odd because i've taken the habit of licking patients who think they have swine flu. if they don't taste like bacon i have them sign a refusal

My daughter is a pharmacy tech and she said people are absolutely in-fucking-sane with paranoia to the point that they have sold out of all of the Tamaflu that they had because people are getting it "just in case." They have also sold out of all of their masks (you know the freaky things that likes to wear as a fashion accesory) for the same reason.
We have had 4 confirmed cases, last I heard, here in AZ. And we have people here driving home every weekend to see their family in Mexico. All of the cases have been grade school kids which kind of makes sense since they probably aren't as vigilant about hand washing as they should be. Of course, a lot of nasty adults aren't either. |

I don't know it was a nerve I just know they said it was a side effect and he got a second opinion and they confirmed it. Still to be months with out the use of your arm cause some one messed up something that you really don't need anyway. No thanks.
