I remember when I was first looking at bikes and I started looking at SV650s(Though I was going older). Those things would sell the day they hit the ad. I saw one go up at midnight and woke up at 8am to go to work. About 10am I called and the guy said he just sold it. Freaking insane.
One of my buddy's just got an 08 SV650s that looks sweet. I rode it to the twisties to break it in and put 230miles on it(and removed some chicken strips). I will say I did not like the newer SV650 as much as I liked the Carbed ones. Another friend had an 02 and that thing had a lot of low end TQ. The 08 feels less powerful when it comes to low end torque. I don't know how it will feel above 5-6k since I didn't go over it much. Either way they are awesome bikes wether you go carbed(Which you can find easily for $2500-3000) or FI.
