My son's first motorcycle ride...
Yea, yea...I know, everyone hates people talking about their kids. Suck my balls though, I'm excited.
So, I've had this old (1984) Z50 in the garage for about a year and a half. Never could get it running. I took it, a spare parts Z50, two motors and a couple carbs up to the local motorcycle salvage (Mr. Motorcycle, Haltom City) and traded it all in on a lil' 110 so I could fulfill my promise to get my son out on two wheels. He rode for about an hour his first time out and really impressed me with good instincts. He didn't crash, so that's a plus, he looked through all his turns...and when things got hairy while he was turning he just gassed it and brought the bike through the turn. Really kind of weird that he could pull all that off. After the first 10 minutes or so he was standing on the pegs and hauling ass. This is his very first ride on a motorcycle ever, I'm giving you the option to view motorcycling history. When he's doing a twisting front-flip Superman in the X Games in a few years you'll be able to say you saw it here first. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMjgdgXjjPU There's always a price to pay though...

Awesome!! Josh, that's really fantastic.
I love the last picture - the BEST way to raise a kid... run them out.

That's cool, congrats to the proud Pops
I had to wait until I was 18 ( out of school on my own ) to have my own cycle since my parents were "anti cycle". Jeff |

Damn.
My parents wouldn't buy me a dirtbike/minibike or anything like that when I was a kid. They said I'd break my neck on one. They did, however, let me ride the family's nice, safe Honda 3-wheelers. Because, you know, those weren't nearly as likely to harm the rider. Congrats on the proud moment, Josh.
