Nope they didn't have room to run a 3rd bike and Ver Molen and Capirossi had extended contracts...HRC let Pedrosa's spanish butt buddy Puig talk them out of an American, Yamaha and Duc rides were full up.
Interestingly enough the Suzuk WSBK squad was interested but decided against Spies as he asked for a ton of money...

Maybe thats what I was thinking about. I willing to bet they will regret that decision in the end.

Ok I know you guys hate me on this subject but...YOU'RE ALL DREAMING!!! I doubt that any American is ever going to "dominate" Moto Gp ever again unless we start bringing some younger kids into the 125s. By the time Pedrosa,Rossi, Lorenzo,Stoner, etc joined the MotoGp class, they had been riding those tracks for years and were used to the pace, travel and everything else that comes from that lifestyle. In recent memory, the only two Americans to win a MotoGp championship did so in a "everyone else had a fucked up season" sort of way. When KRjr won,I'm not sure he even won more than 2 races, he just dnf'd less than the other guys. Now don't get me wrong,I'd LOVE to see an American dominate MotoGp but after Hopkins,Edwards,Hayden, etc I'm losing hope!

Btw I do have some hope in the future if KTM and Red Bull keep up their starter program but I'm afraid it might not make it after that kid died this season....
