I was wondering if any of you guys use lemon pledge? Someone told me to google, lemon pledge motorcycle a while back. Well I did, and I tried it and have been using it ever since on both my BD and HD. I was reluctant at first but have been using it ever since. It works great on everything. Paint, chrome, leather, windshields and just about everything.

I have been using it on my cars also, its great on the interior. Dash, leather seats, even the plastic in front of the speedometer which is usually difficult to clean. Its way cheaper than armor all, lasts longer, doesn't attract dust. The plastic headlight covers that yellow...........put pledge on them after you wash the vehicle it prevents the yellowing. I turned one of my friends onto it (he is obnoxiously anal about his truck) and now he won't use anything else!

I always travel with a can now and had a can in Daytona Beach when one of my friends unloaded his filthy bike from the trailer. I told him that I didn't want to offend him but his bike was filthy. Sprayed the entire (black) bike with lemon pledge and wiped it down. It looked beautiful and he couldn't believe it!

I read that the only draw back is that it attracts bee's in the summer. Haven't seen that personally. Seriously, give it a try!

intresting... only thing i've used plege on that wasn't wood... was my boots... makes them look like fuck'n glass...

only draw back is... your bike will smell like a damn fast food bathroom

I have a detailer that said it wont work... its an old school bullshit tail. it does work but offers no paint protection and can actually cause long term damage to things like vynal and leather... so who knows...

Though, the way I look at it - I would rather use Honda Polish or No-Wet than this. But, if you're going for a pledge product, the multi-surface kicks ass and doesn't smell like lemons.

For what it's worth I used Pledge for years before Honda Polish or Protect All came out. I used it for "touch ups and NOT as a "total bike" cleaner. It works great,in fact when Protect All first came out,it was accused of being re-labeled Pledge. I actually called the OWNER of the company (it was tiny,tiny then) and he admitted that it was based on Pledge's formula but with some additives including carnuba wax. Apparently,the oils/waxes that are in the original Pledge don't adhere to plastic/paint. Also,Pledge washes off with water and doesn't offer ANY paint protection what-so-ever. Remember,I'm old and Pledge was originally designed for stained wood furniture. The "lacquered thing" didn't start until later... Also,if you are going to use Pledge,you should probably get the original formula or you may as well use 409 or Fantastic on your bike,which is what the "Multi-surface" Pledge basically is.

Leather is porous and as such would benefit from the oils in Pledge.

they had us use Pledge to wipe down bikes at MMI. worked pretty good. I thought.
