Default 2009 SVS With & Without ABS

http://www.suzukicycles.com/Product%...gory=sportbike (after you click the link, click specs to bring up both bikes side by side)

Just checking out the new models again, I noticed more than just the braking system change. The SV with ABS is a little over an inch longer and the chain has 6 more links. I'm just curious as to why these changes for ABS?

Notice that ABS SV is only 7lbs more.

I also noticed there's no 2009 SV naked either.

They probably figured the ABS buyers would be more interested in long-distance touring rather than sport, so they increased the wheelbase for a softer ride.

I've only heard good things with ABS but I dont know the companies that make ABS for bikes so it could be from one company or many.

I'd get ABS if you're just a regular O' rider.

there's also no more SV650S, just an SV650SF which is crappy IMO

I like the partial fared look.

So buy the SF, and remove and sell the lowers. BOOM SV650S.

I know. One of the things I find most appealing about the SVS is that it's half faired...kind of naked...but not. Like it's wearing a bikini.

Now she looks just like every other faired bike.

I was disappointed when they did away with the the regular naked SV. The gladius is really heavy, its over 400lbs?
