Default Why is it?

Why is it that when you have no work to do you are all grouchy about how bored you are. Then after a long while of not having work you get used to it. Then finally a little bit of work comes in, and you're all pissed about having to do work?

I need a new job.

I was slammed for months, now this week I've so little to do. I'm not complaining, though.

I'm not complaining too much about my slow work days anymore... once we hit boots on ground, I'll probably be on 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week.

Well I enjoyed the slowness for the first few weeks....but then it just drags on. Plus we are not supposed to be on the internet at work....at all.

Well, if you can find me something to do that doesn't in someway violate policy, I am all ears.

We are required to take 25 hours of Personal Development courses each year. I had 65 hours done by February and when I asked my boss for more to do she was baffled.

That is what we are supposed to do in our down time. There is no more to do.

We get in trouble for talking amongst ourselves at our desks. We are asked to go to the breakroom. When we spend hours in the breakroom, we get in trouble for not being at our desks. We are not allowed on the internet, to talk on the phones or use our emails for personal use.

When people aren't hiring, I am not working.

I waste time here and a couple other forums. I've been working from home for about a year now, so my acceptable use policy is "Do what you want".....

I need one of them jobs!!

But as you can see I don't exactly follow policy too strictly. But for some reason this website has not been blocked at work yet. Everything else under the sun has.
