I took a job installing security systems for ADT... Nothing fancy but it's easy (although a bit frustrating) and there's money to be made. The office that I'm in is almost entirely new people so there are some growing pains but hopefully they will be worked out soon.

People are really paranoid these days! Besides, it really is a decent system if only to protect your pet from fire when you're not home. I definitely don't think that I'm doing the "Lord's work" or anything but I do feel that we provide an important service that can potentially save lives and property.

That's the funny thing about some industries... they seem to boom during times of economic turmoil. Security systems seem to be one of them to an extent. I guess some people use these times to excuse a life of crime. If you're shoplifting bread from Walmart to feed your family- I feel sorry for you. If you're breaking into my house to steal my TV to buy crack, well if I don't shoot you, I hope that you rot in prison!!!
